Angle RNLI tasked to casualty suffering suspected heart attack
At 10.31am yesterday morning (31 October), whilst afloat on exercise off Milford Shelf, the crew were tasked to assist a male reported to be suffering a suspected heart attack onboard a vessel in Milford Marina.
Following a lengthy walk along the marina pontoons the crew located the casualty as paramedics were also arriving on scene. The crew assisted while paramedics began their checks and began assessing the best method of extraction.
With the lifeboat now locked into the marina, the crew prepared the basket stretcher before packaging the casualty and extracting him from the pontoons. Once in the marina car park, the casualty was left in the care of paramedics.
With no further assistance required the crew were stood down, and the lifeboat was back alongside her berth and ready for further service by 12.30pm.
