Barmouth RNLI welcome a new senior station technician
Barmouth RNLI are delighted to announce the appointment of Daryl James as full time senior station technician.
Daryl has been a volunteer crew member for approaching 22 years, serving as an afloat mechanic on both ALB (All weather lifeboat) Moira Barrie and Ella Larsen and as station mechanic for three and a half years. Daryl was one of the crew chosen for the passage from Poole bringing Ella Larsen home. As Helm on ILB (in shore lifeboat) Craig Steadman, Daryl regularly trains up our new recruits and progresses our more experienced crew members.
Daryl has his own cycle repair business and is an accomplished welder. Known for his sense of humour around the crew he was a popular choice for the job.

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Its volunteers provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts.
