The Lifeboat Management Group is the RNLI’s overarching management forum which coordinates the charity’s activities in an area – lifeboat and lifeguard operations, water safety education, media and fundraising. Management groups meet quarterly with one of its meetings each year being an open meeting to which members of the public are invited.

Chair of the Lyme Regis management group is Petrina Muscroft who said: ‘In this 200th anniversary year of the RNLI in Lyme Regis we would welcome as many of our supporters and members of the public as possible to come to our annual open meeting. We will discuss how the charity’s activities in the area are managed and developed, and how our various departments work together to meet our central aim of saving lives at sea.’

‘We would also welcome suggestions from members of the public on how we can integrate more into the local community and how we can be more visible. There will also be the opportunity for people to learn about the many volunteering opportunities that are available with the RNLI in Lyme Regis.’

The meeting starts at 7pm on the 28th and there is car parking available at Lyme Regis Football Club, Charmouth Road, Lyme Regis DT7 3DR. The club bar will also be open for alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments.
