The RNLI Moelfre Lifeboat crew reunites with Jack a person they rescued.

Lifeboats News Release

It was great to welcome Jack and the Trinity House team to our station last week to share their fundraising efforts following a rescue we carried out in April last year.

Jack and Vince.
We were called out with Holyhead RNLI’s inshore lifeboat after Lighthouse Maintenance Engineer Jack was injured while working on Skerries Lighthouse. The Holyhead crew arrived first, giving medical care, and we followed shortly after, bringing Jack back to the mainland on our all-weather lifeboat.

Now well on the mend, Jack visited the Moelfre RNLI crew in person and, along with fellow Engineer Ian and Head of Engineering Steve, handed over funds raised in thanks by Trinity House staff and their supporters.

Vince Jones, Moelfre RNLI Coxswain, thanked the Trinity House staff and supporters for their fundraising efforts, noting their crucial role in maritime safety.

He said, “A huge thank you to all the Trinity House staff and supporters for their fundraising. We rarely hear how someone is doing after a rescue, so a visit like this is a wonderful full-circle moment. It means a lot to the crew, and every penny raised will go toward saving lives at sea as we head into a busy summer. "
