The pagers sounded at 9.52pm on Wednesday 29th April, as All Weather Lifeboat (ALB) Ella Larsen was tasked by HM Coastguard to reports of a person in the water near Sunbeach caravan park Llwyngwril.

The volunteer crew of six launched into rough seas and dark skies making their way swiftly to the location.

On arriving at the scene the crew stood by in the ALB to offer assistance if required whilst the person was dealt with by other emergency services.

The crew were stood down and returned back to station at 11.20pm. ALB Ella Larsen was refuelled and readied for service.
