RNLI calls for volunteer events organiser to support fundraising in Brighton
Brighton RNLI is seeking a dedicated volunteer to take on the role of events organiser, helping to organise vital fundraising activity that saves lives at sea.
The RNLI relies on volunteers to raise the funds needed to operate its lifesaving service.
Every event organised locally plays an important role in supporting lifeboat crews, equipment and training.
Based within the Brighton fundraising team, the events organiser will lead the planning and delivery of a wide range of community events—from coffee mornings and quizzes to larger fundraising initiatives—bringing people together to support the RNLI.
The role involves coordinating event plans, ensuring activities are safe and well-organised, promoting events locally, and inspiring and supporting fellow volunteers.
Community manager Meghan Murphy said: ‘The RNLI is looking for someone with enthusiasm, strong organisational skills and the confidence to lead and motivate others.
‘Previous experience is welcome but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
‘Volunteering with the RNLI is flexible and designed to fit around other commitments, while offering the opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills and make a meaningful impact in the community.’
