Newly qualified volunteer shore crew for Falmouth RNLI

Falmouth RNLI’s new shore crew have completed their training and pass outs for the launch and recovery of the station’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat.

Ben Proctor, Paul Harriman, Jack Northcote, Ben Godsall, Matt Cook, Jack Sutherland, Shannon Moran and Cody Burdett have all undertaken shore crew, plant operators and head launcher training at the station. They were assessed by Regional Staff and all passed with flying colours.

Falmouth RNLI Coxswain Luke Wills said: ‘It was a great effort by all at the station trainers and trainees alike, well done all!

‘Shore crew work hard behind the scenes at Falmouth Lifeboat Station, providing safe launching, recovery, fuelling and berthing of our lifeboats. The role is vitally important to station operations and the availability of the lifeboat service in Falmouth.’
