Seeking enthusiastic communicators who are interested in engaging young and old alike, the visits team are looking forward to welcoming the potential new recruits.

Volunteer visits officer at North Berwick RNLI, Yvonne Fairholm said: 'Currently we rely on our operational crew being available to support visits as there are just two of us on the team, and we are on the crew too.'

'This year especially we have been struggling to keep up with the demand for visits, and we are only four months in!'

'It's a really enjoyable role, introducing the visitors to the work of the RNLI nationally, passing on key safety messages, but also telling the story of our own lifeboat and the volunteers here in North Berwick.'

'The RNLI provides training in everything you need to know to facilitate visits. The best part is that you'll be joining our wider volunteer crew, which is a great team to be part of.'

Those interested in finding out more details, or looking to apply should visit the RNLI's volunteering opportunities website for the full role description and to apply.
