Wells RNLI receives £700 donation from the Great Norfolk Charity Ride Out
Wells RNLI was delighted to welcome members of The Great Norfolk Charity Ride Out back to the lifeboat station this week, as they presented a cheque for £700 in support of the station’s life-saving work.
The donation follows the group’s visit in August, when 168 riders stopped at the station for coffee as part of their charity ride across Norfolk, raising funds to be shared between Norfolk Blood Bikes, The Firefighters Charity, and the RNLI.
The Wells RNLI crew were pleased to welcome Sandy and Henry back to the station and to thank them in person for their hard work and generosity. Donations such as this help ensure that the volunteer crew can continue to train, equip, and launch whenever they are needed.
Wells RNLI Visits Officer Glenda Foster said: ‘Although it was an impressive day when all 168 bikers came here in August for their coffee stop, it was even more special to meet Sandy and Henry when they came back to present our share of the money raised. It was lovely to be able to say a proper thank you for their efforts and to hear more about the amazing work their charity does. It’s especially good to know that the Blood bikers, the Fire Service, and the RNLI are working together to keep the people of Norfolk safe.’
Wells RNLI expressed sincere thanks to everyone involved in The Great Norfolk Charity Ride Out for their support and community spirit.
