Swanage Lifeboat Week 2025 raised just over £29,000 for Swanage RNLI.
Thank you to everyone who helped organise, run or sponsor the event and to everyone who attended. The money raised will be used to keep Swanage Lifeboat Station operational, which includes the training of the crew and the maintenance of equipment and facilities to ensure we can launch 247.
This year was particularly memorable, as on the busiest day of the week (Saturday 16 August) the pager first sounded at 6.30am for the first of four callouts that saw the volunteer lifeboat crew at sea in choppy conditions for 10 hours. Thankfully there was a positive outcome for all the rescues with the casualties being found and provided the care needed.
