An update on Chief Executive recruitment
An update from our Chair Janet Legrand about the recruitment of a new RNLI Chief Executive.
Further to my last update about the recruitment for a new RNLI Chief Executive, I’m pleased to share that the job advert and recruitment pack will be launched on Monday 4 September.
As mentioned, I am leading the recruitment process, with support from a sub-committee of the Trustee Board, and we are working with executive search firm Saxton Bampfylde (SaxBam).
The advert will be placed in key publications including the Sunday Times and Guardian, as well as on the RNLI and SaxBam websites.
I encourage you all to share this advert among your networks. It’s important that we reach the widest possible audience and spread the word about this incredible opportunity to lead this charity into the next 200 years of lifesaving.
Thank you for your input
Appointing a new Chief Executive is a significant moment for any organisation, and it’s important that everyone has an opportunity to be a part of this process.
So may I also take this opportunity to thank you for your input via the SaxBam email inbox. Your thoughts and feedback so far have been valuable in helping us shape the early stages of the search process.
Next steps
The closing date for applications is Monday 25 September. This will be followed by a period of evaluation and longlisting, interviews with SaxBam, shortlisting and in-person interviews.
The intention is that an appointment will be made before the end of the year, with the successful candidate stepping into the role next summer.
I look forward to sharing another update with you all in due course.
