When people ask us why we do things, we have a very powerful answer: to save every one

To save every one is the RNLI’s vision. It’s immense and inspiring. It means we work tirelessly as one crew to save every person we are tasked to rescue.

Our vision is an important part of Our Watch, influencing everything we do now and in the future; our lifesaving effect, our ways of working and volunteering, and our fundraising and education activities.

Yesterday afternoon, RNLI volunteers and staff joined a webinar to learn more and explore how we are sharing our vision with supporters through our Christmas activities this year. Thank you to everyone who joined in, there were an amazing 332 people on the call together!

At the webinar, our executive team shared how our vision was developed and what it means for all areas of lifesaving at the RNLI. We heard one crew member’s experience of being driven to save every one, and thinking about the one we couldn’t save. Our creative and marketing teams also shared how our vision has been woven through the appeal and activities coming up this Christmas.
