Fundraising ideas and useful information

Are you looking for inspiration to help you and your team raise money for the RNLI? Then look no further!

From crazy hair competitions to virtual quiz nights, head over to the fundraising ideas page to get inspired for your next fundraiser. Whatever you choose to do – we want to say thank you and support you every step of the way!

How you plan and register your fundraising with the RNLI depends on whether you are a regular fundraising volunteer or whether you are doing a one-off activity to raise money. Find out about the different options and what’s available to support you below:

Registering fundraising with the RNLI

If you are an RNLI fundraising volunteer, we'll soon be providing an online form where you can register your planned community fundraising activity. Knowing your activities enables us to plan for the future, and we’ll ensure you receive the advice and support you need with your planning.

If you are not a fundraising volunteer but are doing a one-off activity to raise money - thank you! We would love to know more, so please register your fundraising activity on our website, and our events team will be in touch to see how we can support you.

Safe and legal fundraising

If you are a registered branch or fundraising volunteer and are planning a fundraising event or activity in your community, you will need to complete a risk assessment. Please speak to your RNLI manager or get in touch with the Volunteer Experience Team to find out more about risk assessments and what you need to do to keep people safe at your event.

If you are raising money with a one-off activity, there is a one-stop-shop for you to find out about how to keep your fundraising safe and legal. If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to get in touch with fundraising@rnli.org.uk.
