Thank you for what you do for the RNLI

This week (1-7 June) is Volunteers’ Week in the UK, and so we’re celebrating the efforts and dedication of all our volunteers. Thank you for everything you do and the difference you make to help save more lives.
Celebrating Volunteers' Week

We know that the volunteer weeks for Ireland and the UK are different (we celebrated with our Irish volunteers during their week, 14-20 May), but you can join in the celebration wherever you are!

If you have social media, we invite you to give a special shout out to your fellow volunteers on Facebook or Twitter by sharing a post thanking and supporting them for their amazing efforts using the hashtag #NVW2018 if you’re in Ireland, or #VolunteersWeek if you’re based in the UK.

You also have the opportunity to nominate a fellow volunteer for one of the RNLI’s Excellence in Volunteering Awards. These awards are for volunteers who have gone above and beyond what’s expected of them. Please click here to find out more

Everyone has a different reason for volunteering and different skills to bring to the RNLI. We’re made up of volunteers from community safety, crew, education, fundraisers, museum, shop, visits, and even more! This video summarises just some of the amazing contributions that you and your fellow volunteers are making.

We hope our volunteers feel valued for their trustworthiness, courageous personalities and for being dependable and selfless all year round but we are using the week to celebrate all the fantastic ways that you volunteer, and we want to thank you for all that you do for the RNLI.
