Vintage Car Show returns to Bundoran this weekend in aid of the RNLI
This weekend, classic car enthusiasts and families alike are in for a treat as the annual Vintage Car Show makes its return to Bundoran.
The event will take place on Sunday (21 July) from 12 Noon to 5pm at the West End Car Park, directly opposite the Allingham Hotel.
Organised by Bundoran RNLI, the show promises a spectacular display of vintage automobiles, with cars pre-dating 1992. The West End Car Park will be closed to the public from 10am to accommodate the influx of classic cars and to ensure a smooth set-up for the event.
Daimon Fergus, Bundoran RNLI Lifeboat Operations Manager, one of the event organisers, shared his excitement, saying: ‘We’re already seeing lots of interest in our show for this year from enthusiasts across Ireland. We advise anyone who wishes to have a place in the main event area to arrive early to ensure their space.
'The Vintage Car Show has been a staple in the community for years, attracting visitors from near and far with its impressive line-up of classic cars. It's not just about the cars; it's about community spirit and supporting a good cause. This year, all proceeds from the event will go to Bundoran RNLI, powering our volunteers lifesaving work at sea.'
The RNLI is celebrating 200 years of saving lives this year. Locally, the RNLI is marking 30 years of service in Bundoran, while the community is celebrating 50 years of having a lifesaving service based in the community.
Meanwhile, World Drowning Prevention Day takes place next Thursday, (25 July) and as part of that day, a free online webinar is available for all GAA clubs from 7.30-8.30pm. Anyone interested can register here:
