Enniskillen (Carrybridge) Lifeboat, Rescue Water Craft & Rescue 118 Coastguard Helicopter goes to the aid of a 32 foot cruiser which had run aground.

Volunteer crew from Enniskillen Lifeboat Station based at Carrybridge were tasked at 2.48pm to a 32 foot cruiser with 5 people and their dog on board, which had run aground approx. ½ mile east of Knockninny Marina. Carrybridge's Lifeboat, Rescue Water Craft & Rescue 118 Coastguard Helicopter which was carrying out an exercise with the Carrybridge crew were all diverted to the casualty vessel’s position. Once on scene, the helicopter provided overhead assistance whilst the vessel was checked for damage which none was found. It was then refloated by the Lifeboat and Rescue Water Craft and the casualty vessel proceeded under its own power to Knockninny Marina. Carrybridge Lifeboat and Rescue Water Craft resumed its exercise with the Rescue 118 Coastguard Helicopter
