The virtual challenge

When you sign up, you’ll be asked to set your distance and fundraising target. Once you’ve signed up and your fundraising page is ready, make sure you add a profile picture and keep your page updated. Then all you need to do is share with your friends and family. Choose your day to take on the Mayday Mile (any time during May) and get moving!

You can choose to complete your Mayday Mile any time in May.

You decide when and where you want to complete your Mayday Mile. Just choose your favourite place and get started.

Absolutely, we welcome anyone who wants to take part in the Mayday Mile this year however please note that you will only be able to fundraise in pounds or euros.

You must be aged 18 or older to register for the Mayday Mile. Under 18's are welcome to participate but they must be registered by someone over 18.

There is no registration fee to take part in the virtual Mayday Mile, however we are asking everyone that takes on the challenge to raise funds via their fundraising page.

Once you sign up, your fundraising page will be automatically created and all donations collected on your page will come directly to the RNLI. You can add your own profile picture and tell us why you’re taking on the Mayday Mile. You can then share your page with friends and family so they can donate to support you and the RNLI’s volunteer lifesavers.

All donations made to your fundraising page will be automatically transferred to the RNLI, so you don’t need to do anything.

The money you raise will help our lifesavers to keep you and your family safe this summer. Training, kit, stations, fuel - these are just some of the things we need to save lives, and that your fundraising can help provide. We are asking everyone that takes on the Mayday Mile to try and raise at least £55/€55.

Anyone who raises at least £55/€55 through their fundraising page will receive a Mayday Mile medal.

You can track your distance and steps using Strava.
