Every day, RNLI lifesavers will do whatever it takes to rescue those in trouble at sea. From battling huge waves in big orange lifeboats, to navigating treacherous surf on a RIB, RNLI lifesavers are trained to tackle whatever the elements can throw against them. Seeing them in action is always a very impressive sight.

In this compilation, we've gathered together some of the most thrilling bystander footage of RNLI lifesavers in action. Watch as crews from Trearddur Bay, Peterhead, Hastings, Newhaven, Porthcawl, and Walton and Frinton, as well as lifeguards from Portreath and Bantham, are captured on camera doing what they do best - saving lives.
