Wicklow: 'Never seen trauma like it'
When a rip current dragged a pregnant woman out to sea on 2 July 2014, Wicklow RNLI volunteers sprang into action. They soon discovered she was not the only person whose life was in danger.
RNLI Mechanic Brendan Copeland says: ‘The stories circulating on the beach were horrendous. I’d never seen trauma like it.'
