200th RNLI Anniversary Ball Exmouth

Celebrating the work of RNLI volunteers

Come and celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the RNLI with a Black tie ball to raise funds for the great work done by the volunteer crew at Exmouth Lifeboat Station.

The evening will include - 3 course Meal, Auction and Raffle. Dance the night away with Joey The Lips.

Exmouth has a Shannon class lifeboat 13-03, we also have an ILB D-class lifeboat the George Bearman. Exmouth has 30 crewmembers that go to sea. This does not include the essential shore crew that helps launch the boats. Exmouth is the 3rd busiest station in the southwest. The RNLI provides a 24 hour search and rescue service around the UK and Ireland. Nationally there have been 9312 launches from lifeboat stations this year.

  • There is one employed position at the station, the station mechanic.
  • All the other crew members are volunteers.
  • All are on call 24-7 365 days a year.
  • Out in all weathers

To train one RNLI crewmember it costs £1400 annually. Crew kit costs £2980. This includes ILB drysuit and thermal suit. ALB clothing and boots, lifejacket, helmet, and gloves.
