RNLI 200 Service Livestream at Royal Cornwall Museum
RNLI volunteers and staff are invited to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the founding of the RNLI
We are delighted to inform you that the Royal Cornwall Museum has generously offered to host RNLI staff and volunteers to watch the RNLI 200th anniversary service at Westminster Abbey on Monday, 4th March 2024.
The event is free to attend but you must RSVP by registering on Eventbrite before 6pm Friday 1st March.
Parking is available in public car parks around Truro but we recommend using the park-and-ride service because the park-and-ride bus stops right outside the museum.
All RNLI regional staff and volunteers are welcome to register their attendance.
Tea and coffee will be provided by Royal Cornwall Museum for a donation.
As it's the RNLI's 200th birthday, feel free to bake a birthday cake and bring it along to share!
Doors open at 10.30am and the service starts at 11.30am. The event finishes at 1pm.
Baker and Chef, a nearby coffee shop and restaurant are offering a 15% discount to any RNLI staff and volunteers who want to have lunch or a coffee there. Please use your confirmation email as your proof of offer to the staff. Baker and Chef is part-owned and run by Russell Bush, shore crew and tractor driver at St Ives lifeboat station. Turn left when exiting the museum and Baker Chef is on the opposite side of the street approximately 80m down the road.
