RNLI Moors Valley Reindeer Run 2023
Join us for our RNLI Moors Valley Reindeer Run 2023, a charity event set in the beautiful Moors Valley country park and forest. Lace up your running shoes, don your antlers, and prepare to take on the forest trails in support of the RNLI.
Whether you're a seasoned runner or looking to complete your first race, there's a distance for everyone. Choose from our 10k, 5k, or 1k Santa Saunter and along the route you’ll be supported by our wonderful team of RNLI volunteer marshals, all cheering you on to the finish. Event will include prizes for first male and female in the 5k and 10k race.
Join us this November and help save lives at sea.
Ticket information
Tickets for all runs must be purchased by someone 18 years old or over.
Age restrictions
- 1k Santa Saunter - No minimum age requirement, however, all under 15 year olds must be accompanied by an adult (max ratio of 5 children per adult). 15 year olds and over can participate independently (parental consent will be part of the registration process)
- 5k run - Minimum age requirement of 11 years old to participate. 11-15 year olds must be accompanied by an adult (max ratio of 2 children per adult). 15 year olds and over can participate independently (parental consent will be part of the registration process)
- 10k run - Minimum age requirement of 15 years old to participate. 15 year olds and over can participate independently (parental consent will be part of the registration process)
Route information
The routes are all off road and can be muddy depending on the weather. The event can be cold and wet so warm, dry clothing is essential. Please note we're not able to offer Canicross at this event.
Timings
- Registration from 8am
- 10k - runners must have registered by 08:40
- 5k - runners must have registered by 10:10
- 1k Santa Saunter – runners must have registered by 11.10

Fundraising
We ask that everyone taking part in Reindeer Run raises a minimum of £50 to help enable our volunteer crews to continue to save lives at sea.
