Will you help raise vital funds for the London lifesavers?

London Lifeboat Day is an annual fundraising event to help keep our lifesaving volunteers afloat on the tidal Thames.

The pandemic has severely impacted our ability to raise funds and we need your support now more than ever. Bucket collecting for London Lifeboat Day always formed a vital part of our income and, as we can’t do that this year, we really need your help.

Every pound and penny raised at this event will go towards building the new Tower lifeboat station. Their current station is old, cramped and no longer fit for purpose. It lacks proper facilities, and the structure is beyond economical repair, and there is no privacy for vulnerable casualties. Will you join our virtual collection from home to give our volunteers at Tower the new lifeboat station they so urgently need?

By setting up a JustGiving page, you can raise money online safely and can carry on updating and chatting with RNLI supporters – just like the good old days.

Here's how to get set up:

  1. Visit justgiving.com. When you click this link, if you have a Just Giving account already, your fundraising page will automatically connect to London Lifeboat Day and your money will go directly to funding the new Tower Lifeboat Station. If you don’t have an account on Just Giving yet, sign up and follow the steps to support!
  2. Remember to include your story, a photograph, and why you are fundraising for the RNLI on your JustGiving page, so people know exactly why they should donate.
  3. Shout about it! We know you’ll be great at convincing your friends and family to support you in your fundraising mission. Below are some images you can post on your social media accounts to get you started! Don’t forget to share the JustGiving or Facebook donate link when you post.

And remember, we’ll be on hand to help if you have any questions along the way.
