Benefit Concert

Raise funds for the RNLI

The Thornbury Orchestra will be giving a nautical-themed concert in aid of the RNLI at Castle School, Thornbury BS35 1HT on Saturday 8th June 2019.

The Thornbury Orchestra was formed in 2003 and has grown to become a full symphony orchestra with around 50 members.  The orchestra gives two concerts per year in support of a charity or local good cause.

The concert will start at 7:30pm and the programme will be:

  • Four Sea Pictures by Benjamin Britton
  • Tintagel by Arnold Bax
  • Sea Pictures by Edward Elgar
  • Overture to The Flying Dutchman by Wagner

The soloist will be Juliet Curnow (Mezzo-soprano).

Tickets will be £8 for adults; children (up to 18 years old) will be free. 

Tickets can be reserved by contacting the RNLI Wotton-under-Edge Branch via its website.

Anyone without a ticket should still be able to come and pay on the door.
