Our fundraising branch currently enjoys the input from 6 enthusiastic committee members (including our President) and we maintain an annual programme of collections and events that include:
- A range of in-store collections
- Collections at rail stations
- Our annual Flag Day street collection in Tunbridge Wells and district sites
- Maintenance of ‘static’ collection boxes
- Summer fetes and fairs
- Coffee events
- Educational events
Activities and our successes are reported in our newsletter that is produced 3 to 4 times a year and in the local press.
Of course the success of all our activities is principally due to our local supporters and partnerships. There is little doubt that we could all achieve more with just a small donation of time from a wider group of supporters, so if you are at all interested, please contact Jan, our Hon. Secretary as to how your support and just 1.5 hours of your time could make such a difference to our results.
Many hands make for lighter work – and we could achieve more for the Lifeboats.
So whether you could help with the odd event (as your time dictates), or if you might consider helping or joining our committee, please do contact Jan Pierce.
While we take collecting and education seriously, it should be done with a good sense of fun and team satisfaction. All enquires welcome.
