Portchester Fundraising Branch
Branch information
Portchester lies at the north of Portsmouth Harbour between Portsmouth and Fareham. Although it has grown considerably in recent years, it still retains a village atmosphere and community.
There is access to the harbour via marinas and sailing clubs in the area. Portchester also boasts a castle with Roman foundations, which commands views to Portsmouth. With its location and closeness to the water there is a positive attitude to lifeboat fundraising from the community.
Portchester fundraising committee is a small but dedicated group usually generating between £2,000-£2,500 per year. Where possible the committee tries to be involved locally be it collecting at supermarkets or selling souvenirs at various locations. Several businesses also hold collecting boxes. The committee are proud to be raising money for such a worthwhile organisation.
