Kettering and District Fundraising Branch
Branch information
Kettering Branch is small and active fundraising group, which has been supporting the work of the volunteer lifeboat crews for more than 50 years. In 2014, the generous support of local people enabled us to raise more than £17,000 to help fund the Lifeboat service, which rescues more than 8,000 people every year.
Although our nearest lifeboat station is some 80 miles east we are a busy team organising fundraising events throughout the year and raising the profile of the RNLI. We sell RNLI souvenirs at fetes and coffee mornings, and our collecting boxes in pubs, fish and chip shops and works canteens produce valuable income and are a constant reminder of the life-saving work of the RNLI.
Our active team of RNLI presenters also give talks to all age groups on sea-safety and the danger of drowning in inland lakes, gravel pits and waterways.
