Friends Of Salcombe Lifeboats Fundraising Branch
'The Friends of Salcombe Lifeboats' cover most of the South Hams District of South Devon, with around 60 active members. The Friends conduct fundraising for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and the Salcombe lifeboats in particular. Members also man the Salcombe lifeboat shop and museum from late February-December every day between 10.30am-16.30pm, depending on the time of year.
The Friends organise a wide range of fundraising events including street collections, open gardens, Summer balls, as well as evening functions. All events are arranged to make sure that, wherever possible, we have fun whilst raising funds to provide our volunteer crews with essential training and equipment to save more lives at sea.
If you would like to join the Friends and participate in some of these events and/or help in the shop, please contact the Chairman or Secretary whose details are below.
