Chew Valley Fundraising Branch
The enthusiastic members of Chew Valley Branch come from villages across the Chew Valley and have a special link with our nearest lifeboat station at Weston-super-Mare.
We have lots of fun and are wonderfully supported by the local population covering the rural area to the south of Bristol with dozens of small villages.
As well as our annual house-to-house collection, we hold three or four large events each year. Events include quiz nights, a barn dance, a speaker supper and a golf day, and our annual sell-out Curry Lunch often raises £1,800.
Formed in 1984, our fundraising has been particularly successful in recent years – raising over £100,000 between 2006 and 2012.
We are always looking for more helpers, particularly for our house-to-house collections, so please come along and join us. We’d love to see you.
