Bradford and Baildon Fundraising Branch
The Bradford and Baildon branch has its roots going back to 1859 when after a shipping disaster with the loss of many lives. The wool merchants and mill owners decided to raise money for a lifeboat named Bradford. In all 9 lifeboats have carried the 'Bradford' or 'City of Bradford'; name with 4 more other Bradford linked lifeboats.
We are an active fundraising branch and a dedicated volunteer who is able to give talks and presentations; as well as education and water safety to youth groups.
We also have a branch page on Facebook.
Please contact the Chairman for opportunities at this branch or check our volunteering vacancies.
Starting in January we will meet every 2nd Wednesday in every 2nd month at the Old Club, Northgate, Baildon, BD176LX.
