CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

All RNLI shops, museums and visitor centres, including the College in Poole, remain closed. Our lifeboat stations remain operational but will not be open to visitors.

Our lifeboats will continue to launch to those in peril at sea. We urge you to follow government instructions. But if you are at the coast, please take extra care and follow our safety advice.

We are currently working with local authorities and beach owners in the hope that we can provide a lifeguard service on around 30% of the beaches that our service usually covers this summer.

The RNLI’s phased lifeguard service roll out has begun. Safety patrols start on 16 beaches on Saturday 30 May – this is in addition to a Jersey patrol that is already underway. The service will expand to more beaches over the coming weeks and months. Visit our lifeguarded beach page for a list of patrols now on service.
