Most of the RNLI's lifeboat crew members are volunteers, they are the back-bone of the RNLI saving thousands of lives every year.
There are over 4,600 volunteer crew members across the UK along with a further 300 lifeboat support members.

If so, you could join the crew at Seahouses lifeboat station, we are holding a recruitment open day on Saturday 21 July from 12pm–3pm. You will be able to learn about the different volunteer roles available, the training and development that you would receive and have an opportunity to meet existing crew members.
For those that do not want to be a crew member, there are other essential volunteering opportunities such as helping out at the station and fundraising - there is bound to be a role to suit everyone!.
