Our mission: to save lives at sea and keep Torbay’s waters safe. Torbay Lifeboat Station has been at the heart of our community since its founding in 1866 following that year’s Great Storm. Today, the station has two lifeboats – a Severn class and a D class inshore lifeboat.

The crew has a remarkable history of bravery with 52 awards for gallantry.
