The RNLI established a lifeboat station and the lifeboat was moored in the harbour.
The station closed because it was difficult getting enough crew and the lifeboat was moved to Mallaig.
The station re-opened in May and the Waveney class lifeboat was moored in the harbour.
The Waveney class lifeboat was withdrawn and replaced by an Arun class lifeboat.
A garage and store next to Mishnish Pier were converted to provide crew facilities, a workshop and souvenir sales outlet.
A new alongside berth was completed.
The new Severn class lifeboat, ON-1270 Elizabeth Fairlie Ramsey, was placed on service on 20 August.
