The Vimto Abersoch RNLI New Year's Day Dip 2027

The event will be held at Abersoch main beach, and all participants are encouraged to wear fancy dress under the theme of 'Fairytale Characters'.

All participants need to pre-register online with a registration fee of £12 per adult and £6 per child. Online registration will close at 11am on 30th December, so anyone wanting to register after that time, must check with the registration team on the day for availability and prices. There will be a small number of spaces but these will be limited due to the time constraints. Once registered, participants will receive their dedicated wristbands and entry packs in the post. If you sign up on or after 22nd December, you will need to collect these from a local business.

Participants are encouraged to fundraise for the RNLI by getting friends and family to sponsor their dip. Sign up via our JustGiving page. Or alternatively, download a sponsorship form.

The event is open to all age groups. Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by a participating adult. A separate area will be cordoned off to allow smaller children and their families to enter the sea in a controlled manner.

Assembly is on the beach from 11.30am onwards, registered participants will check in and assemble ready for the countdown to the 12.00 midday entry into the sea under the guidance of the RNLI crew and volunteers. Registered participants can then collect their medal before retiring to the Yacht Club or village for celebratory food and drink.

Access is via the Yacht Club at the end of the main beach, or via the slipway at the Golf Club car park, please park in the car parks located at the Yacht Club or the Golf Club located by the slipway.
