RNLI Clovelly Swim 2026
The RNLI Clovelly Open Water Swim offers either a choice of a one or two mile open water sea swim along the spectacular North Devon Coastline from the picturesque Clovelly harbour.
This challenge is a must for all sea swimmers and promises to be great fun. All money raised will go towards supporting our Volunteer Lifeboat Crews and Seasonal Lifeguards.
Both of these 1 mile or 2 mile open water swims are fundraising events and require entrants to raise a minimum of £100 for the RNLI.
This popular event is strictly limited to 100 swimmers and is open to anyone over the age of 18. Please note, participants should be intermediate or experienced open water swimmers. Registration for the swim is £40 and we ask everyone to pledge to raise at least £100 through sponsorship, as every pound raised will support our volunteers in saving lives around our coast.
The swim is a fantastic event largely run by volunteers, without whom it wouldn’t be possible. It promises to be great fun with a fantastic atmosphere, so do come along and get involved.

- You must be at least 18 years of age on the day of the event to enter.

You will provide and wear your own wetsuit at the event.

No swimmer will be allowed in the water without a wetsuit on. We recommend wearing a swim-specific wetsuit, which will provide extra buoyancy and warmth
- You must be able to swim at least one or two miles in open water conditions, depending which distance you agree on the day to swim.
- You must attend the safety briefing before the start of the swim.
