BeachROX 2026 - Rhyl RNLI

Join us for our first ever Hyrox-style beach challenge at Rhyl RNLI: 8 x 1km runs with fitness stations.

Be part of the first ever BeachROX at Rhyl Lifeboat Station – a Hyrox‑inspired beach challenge combining endurance, functional fitness, and RNLI lifeboat and lifeguard elements.

Whether you’re a seasoned HYROX athlete or just looking for a fun challenge, our BeachROX event will push your limits and get your heart pumping. Bring your energy, bring your friends, and enjoy an evening on Rhyl beach, full of action, sweat, and good vibes!

This event forms part of a wider programme of activities celebrating the 25th anniversary of RNLI Lifeguards in 2026.

What does it entail?

Participants will take on 8 x 1km runs, each followed by a functional exercise station, testing strength, stamina and determination in a unique coastal setting. Some of the stations vary slightly from your typical Hyrox event, using some Lifeboat specific equipment.

Who can take part?

Open to the public – everyone is welcome to get involved with a base level of fitness. Sign up individually, as a pair or as a team. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult (minimum age for participation is 16 years).

Registration

To help us create an event timetable, participants are encouraged to pre‑register online, as there will be a limited number of spaces available on the day. Once registered, you will receive confirmation of your allocated time slot during the week leading up to the event.

On the day, please check in at the registration desk from 3pm onwards at the Lifeboat Station.
