Review of the year 2013

What a difference a year makes

What difference did the RNLI make in 2013? Our volunteer lifeboat crews rescued 8,384 people, and our lifeguards helped 21,938. In all, our charity saved 425 lives around the UK, the Republic of Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. We undoubtedly prevented many potential tragedies by giving assistance and advice.

In 2013, we did more than ever before to save lives from drowning – thanks to the teamwork of people like you.

Charles Hunter-Pease OBE
RNLI Chairman
