Welcome to the RNLI

  • Give it some welly this Mayday!

Mayday is our biggest fundraising event of the year, where we celebrate and give thanks to our crews who put their lives on hold to save lives at sea.

This Mayday we need people like you to show your support and fundraise or volunteer for us.

    Can we count on you?
Mayday volunteers, helping us to give it some welly this Mayday!
  • Why we need your Mayday support

Last year our lifeboat crews rescued 7,973 people across the UK and Republic of Ireland. That’s an average of 22 people a day.

Raising funds this Mayday will help train and equip our volunteers so they’re always there for those in need.

  • When the pager went off …

Dan was getting married in the morning, Dave was teaching his son to ride a bike and David was planning to propose.

Our crew members are ready to drop everything in a moment’s notice to save lives.

  • From bakes to boats

If you fancy a spot of baking to raise money this Mayday, look no further.

Some talented, RNLI-supporting bakers have whipped up a batch of the tastiest fundraisers you’ve seen for some time.
